More than three decades in Lviv
Rabbi Mordechai Shlomo and Rebbetzin Sara Bald came to Lviv in the early 1990s and made the city their life’s work.
From the historic Beis Aharon V’Yisroel Synagogue, they helped rebuild learning, belonging, and observance after decades of Soviet suppression. The shul became a place to pray, learn, celebrate, ask questions, and simply feel at home.
During the war, that open door also became a source of food, medicine, shelter, and emergency assistance. The response grew, but the heart of the work remained the same: seeing every person and strengthening every Jewish soul.
The guiding idea is simple:Every Jew who walks through the door belongs.
Kiruv with responsibility
A person may arrive looking for a minyan, a meal, guidance, or a safe place. Jewish Lviv responds to the whole person—with dignity and without judgment.
